4th Grade Science Demo on Reptiles

4th Grade Parents needed!

Hello 4th Grade Parents,

As fourth graders, our kids have the opportunity to participate in a hands-on Science Demo on Reptiles.  The Reptile Demo is a favorite of students!  We have a couple of parents/grandparents who have volunteered to attend training and present the demo, but we still need a few more in order to bring the demo to Gleason.

Reptile Demo Day is Friday, March 8th from 8:40 - 3:50pm at Gleason

Please consider helping out.

We need Trained Volunteers to attend ONE of the 2 hour training sessions either Thursday, February 21 or Wednesday, March 6 both from 9:30-11:30am at the SRC located at 11206 Telge Rd AND then present the material to the students on demo day.

The 2 hour training will give you everything you need to present the demo.  You do not need to bring anything to the school; the materials and animals will be there when you arrive.  The Science teachers and other volunteers will help you.

If you can attend one of the training sessions and present on Fri, March 8th, please sign up here.

We need Untrained volunteers to be an extra set of hands on demo day.  Can’t attend training? We can still use your help on demo day. Please email Kelly Wussow at

If you have any questions, please email Kelly Wussow at

Please consider volunteering. This is the last opportunity for our kids to see a science demo this school year as a previously planned demo was cancelled due to the lack of parent volunteers.
